Albert Luque has tied the knot and now he claims he is set to settle down and win back his place in the first team. Although I'm sure 52,000 Geordies won't be taking him at his word. After all, he's had more 'come backs' than Status Quo!

As part of rebuilding team spirit at St James' Park, Sam Allardyce is set to hold face-to-face talks with striker Albert Luque about his future. With the gaffa insisting he is the man to get the Spanish international back on track.

Following his marriage to Marta Luna last week in Mallorca, the £9.5m striker is back on Tyneside and ready to start his pre-season with his team-mates and make a fresh start.

He was linked with a loan move to PSV Eindhoven at the end of the last campaign but, with no takers so far, Allardyce will work with the player and attempt to rekindle the superb form he showed in La Liga for Deportivo la Coruna and Real Mallorca.
