Another one bites the dust as Mike Ashley swings the axe ... but don't get TOO carried away ... it is NOT Freddy Shepherd, but his son.
It is believed that Kenneth Shepherd, son of the chairman, Freddy, has been told by Mike Ashley's new regime that he no longer has a role.
We're still not sure exactly what the fellow does (or did) at St James' Park. He was part of the Newcastle "party" that travelled to Barcelona to try and sign Eidur Gudjohnsen, and said to be "involved with transfers". But ... is that a fulltime job?
So that just leaves the chairman. And according to rumour, his days are numbered.
