David Jones has confirmed ex-Newcastle striker Michael Chopra will only leave Cardiff if someone coughs up £3million.

Not bad for a player they only paid Newcastle £500,000 for.

Cardiff chairman Peter Ridsdale is adamant Chopra will still be a Bluebirds player when the new season kicks-off again on August 11.

The 23-year-old hitman has been linked with several Premiership clubs during the summer after hitting 22 goals last season, but the price tag has frighten them off.

Ridsdale: "If I was put on the spot, I would have to say I think Michael will be a Cardiff City player next season."
