Police last week released 40 mugshots of suspects they wanted to speak to after trouble flared at the Sunderland and Newcastle game at the Stadium of Light last month.

About 300 seats were also ripped out by angry Toon fans some of which were used as missiles.
A police spokesman said: "A number of names have been put forward and they are now being looked at by the inquiry team.
"No arrests have been made yet, but we are very pleased with the results of the appeal so far."
