Martins Showdown With Big Sam

Obafemi Martins is set for a very interesting showdown meeting with Sam Allardyce concerning his future on Tyneside.
With
Arsenal 'threatening' to offer the £13m that is the get-out-of-jail clause in the Nigerian's contract, the striker says he wants assurances on his future following the arrival of Mark Viduka.
With Viduka saying he and Michael Owen could be the star striking partnership in the Premiership next season ... and Martins allegedly saying he wants a new contract with the same wages as Owen (£103,000 per week) ... there could be some strong words spoken behind closed doors.
Martins told the Daily Mirror: "I have a meeting with the manager when I get back to training.
"We will see what happens then."
