The Toon winger provided the pass for Atletico Madrid's Maxi Rodriguez to fire beyond Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor in the 8th minute.Gutierrez, who won his 5th cap for the Argentines, was substituted on 70 minutes, while Fabricio Coloccini was an unused sub.
The new Argentina manager thought his side were a class above the Scots and he believes Scotland had better unearth some quality if they want to reach South Africa in 2010.
Maradona: "We had a different level of skilll.
"They have a chance (to qualify) but if they want to do that, then they will have to raise their game. It will be difficult."
