'London Calling' For Dyer

Tottenham have been 'testing the water' with Kieron Dyer for some time, but if Glenn Roeder was starting to think of the "£ signs" and what he could do with the money ... Sam Allardyce says he wants the England international here.
But .... Tottenham are one thing ...
Chelsea are a different proposition entirely.
Frank Lampard could be heading for the Stamford Bridge exit door after reportedly turning down a massive new contract offer at Chelsea, and Jose Mourinho is said (according to Sunday's London-based newspapers) to be looking at Dyer.
According to the News of the World, the England midfielder has rejected a multi-million pound deal, which eclipsed the £121,000-a-week contracts given to Andriy Shevchenko and Michael Ballack and would have made him the highest earner in the club's history.
Contract negotiations between Lampard and Chelsea have been drawn out and this latest twist could see Italian giants Juventus and Spanish side Barcelona make a move for the 28-year-old.
Lampard: "I have two years left on my contract at Chelsea, that's the way it is. They have no necessity to come and offer me anything so I just carry on and get on with it as you have to as a player.
"In an ideal world I would have done it (signed a new deal) three weeks ago. But it is not an ideal world is it?"
Allardyce was straight to the point when asked about the interest from the London clubs, and will fight to keep him if Chelsea do lose Lampard.
Allardyce: "Anyone saying that I want Kieron to leave is talking utter rubbish. He is one of the successes of last year in that he appears to have overcome his major injury problems.
"I have spoken to Kieron. He is such a versatile player that he can get used in a number of positions and that can be difficult for him sometimes. But I will take the brunt of it if he has to be moved around. We want to grow together."
Dyer and and another player who's future is up-in-the-air, Michael Owen, where at Chester races together on Saturday. Both will return to pre-season training this morning.
Allardyce insisted on every player travelling to the club's pre-season training camp in Austria tomorrow, although Mark Viduka is still in the Far East playing for Australia.
