Dennis Wise says - until Mike Ashley tells him otherwise - he will continue to look for players to bring to Newcastle. Even though Ashley has said he is keeping all transfer money in his arse pocket.
It remains confusing to us ... and God only knows how confused Joe Kinnear is!
But we hear today Wise has emerged from his hiding hole to appear at Ewood Park and offer Blackburn's Stephen Warnock the chance to board the *Mary Celeste ... here at Newcastle.
Sam Allardyce spent more than £5m on Jose Enrique and reports from Spain suggest the defender would be more than willing to return to his homeland, as he has struggled to come to terms with the tough tackling English Premiership.
I'm sure Mike Ashley would be happy to cash in before he hands over the keys to someone else ... but who would pay £5m?
