Lee Bowyer will face court today for his on-field bust up with team-mate Kieron Dyer at St James' Park when United had three players sent off against Aston Villa.
Bowyer was later summonsed under Section 4 of the Public Order Act to appear before magistrates, and the trial will take place at Newcastle Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
Bowyer rejoined his ols club West Ham last month.
