Former Newcastle striker Andrew Cole has left Nottingham Forest by mutual consent.
Nottingham Forest announced his contract had been cancelled on Friday, bringing to an end the Nottingham-born striker's short stay since his summer arrival from Sunderland.

Speculation in recent days suggested the 37-year-old had grown restless at a lack of opportunities at the City Ground, and he did not travel with the rest of the Reds squad for Tuesday's crucial 2-1 win away at Crystal Palace.
Forest manager Colin Calderwood: "It's a shame things haven't worked out as well as we had both planned when Andrew joined us and we came to the joint conclusion that it was best we went our separate ways."
