The Hammers are still ready to 'splash the cash' after completing the club record £7.5m signing of former United striker Craig Bellamy yesterday, but Allardyce is not interested.
The youngster had a big fall-out with former Newcastle manager Glenn Roeder over his mobile phone. He was caught phoning friends from the dug-out at Fratton Park DURING a match, and Roeder was furious when he caught him texting during a pre-match team talk.
N'Zogbia responded by insisting he wanted to leave the club this summer. He refused to be a substitute against Watford and left the ground before kick-off, only to return when he realised he did not know where he was.
However, Allardyce sees the 21-year-old as a rare talent and wants to give him a chance to prove what he can do.
West Ham are still likely to make a £4m bid in an attempt to test United's resolve.
